JP Pietersen returned to the Springbok squad at the end of 2012 after missing the entire Castle Rugby Championship because of injury. He has made the Springboks’ No 14 jersey his own since making Test debut in 2006. Big and very fast, Pietersen showed his versatility playing at outside centre for The Sharks in 2012. A Rugby World Cup winner in 2007, he was part of the Bok squad that beat the British & Irish Lions and won the Castle Tri-Nations in 2009. He was named Man of the Match in the second Test against England in June 2012 and capped a great performance with a superb try late in the encounter.
