SHARKSFRENZY: A World of Rewards Awaits Sharks Fans
- The Sharks, in collaboration with LoyalT, have launched the long-awaited and much-hyped SHARKSFRENZYTM that directly benefits loyal supporters on a daily basis and offers exclusive specials, discounts and rewards at pre-selected reward partner outlets nationwide as well as at all The Sharks home games at Mr Price KINGS PARK. In keeping with being on the front lines of technology, The Sharks have created a mobile application that is the first of its kind worldwide.

"As acknowledged brand-leaders, The Sharks are once-again at the forefront of digital innovation," said Sharks Marketing Manager Michael Ablett of this new technological delivery. "Sharks Rugby is not simply about the game, but the whole experience associated with The Sharks and we are proud to be the first to launch this innovative product that rewards our fans."

SHARKSFRENZYTM members can interact with other supporters, add comments and images to check-ins, improve game draw entries and link activity to other existing social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare.

SHARKSFRENZYTM members benefit from a select, hand-picked range of restaurants, accommodation, travel packages, electronics and vehicle hire, to mention just a few and members are entitled to a guaranteed reward at every one of our participating Rewards Partners.

The greater the use of SHARKSFRENZYTM, the more entries received for our fantastic game day draws.

The game day draws are all lifestyle orientated and include a trip for a family of four to amazing destinations in Southern Africa, weekend getaways, gas braai's amongst other exciting offerings and there will also be prizes for junior Sharks Fans.

"The more you use SHARKSFRENZYTM outside of the stadium walls, the more entries activated members are able to earn for game day draws," says Justin Raleigh, New Media Director of LoyalT. "Once you check in on game day, validating that you are in fact at the game, your pooled entries become active and give you a higher chance of winning," Raleigh said.

All rewards offered are instant rewards, not based on points accumulation or by how much you have participated. SHARKSFRENZYTM members are automatically entitled to either an instant discount or a Random Reward at all of our Reward Partner establishments.

The Random Rewards have been designed as an interactive and fun way for you to get the most out of the check-in. Establishments who have activated their Random Rewards have four fantastic offerings that will keep members on the edge of their seats.

Every Reward Partner has loaded exclusive discounts, specials or instant rewards. This could be a unique menu item at an incredibly low price, a free beer or glass of wine at check-in or R20 worth of biltong. Our Reward Partners have gone the extra mile to ensure you have as much fun with SHARKSFRENZYTM as possible.

Although the app knows your location and which Reward Partners to display around you, we have added that special touch by providing all our Reward Partners with a window sticker indicating their participation in the program. The QR code on the sticker will make it just that much easier to download and activate SHARKSFRENZYTM.

The App has the ability to know where members are physically and will display participating Rewards Partners within a certain radius around them. Rewards are not redeemable if a member attempts to check-in at a reward partner outside of this radius.

In order to redeem the reward, it must be validated. We have created a unique "word of the day" for each Reward Partner. These are unique to each establishment and are valid for 24 hours. Activated SHARKSFRENZYTM members will have to ask the staff member at the establishment what the word of the day is. This validates and unlocks our world of rewards.

The SHARKSFRENZYTM is a free download from all app stores. However, in order to redeem any rewards offered, the app user must be an activated SHARKSFRENZYTM member. Inactive members are able to check-in, create social comments and share their activity with their friends, but cannot redeem any rewards.

Activation is simple and painless. Membership to SHARKSFRENZYTM is an annual subscription of R100 and can be done either on sharksfrenzy.co.za or within the app itself. Simply click on to the "activate button" in the app, enter payment details and start to enjoy the rewards.

"SHARKSFRENZYTM is constantly evolving and adapting to what it learns from our active members and their activity. There are mind blowing updates planned in the next few weeks that will cross the boundries of sport and spend in ways only imagined before," says Raleigh.

As an added extra, we have built the ability to gift SHARKSFRENZYTM to friends, family and clients and colleagues. Members may pre-activate as many memberships as they need. Each additional membership purchased has a unique discount code that is entered when a member creates their account.
