Cricketing Fireworks
- Sharks captain Keegan Daniel will not only lead his team in the Vodacom Super Rugby tournament but also in the Pick n Pay Challenge Clash of Kings between The Sharks and Sunfoil Dolphins at Sahara Kingsmead on Sunday.

"We have a good mix of experience and inexperience in our team but we are all in the same boat in terms of not having played much or any cricket recently," he explains. "But no excuses, we're still going to give it our best shot."

Patrick Lambie is a lively player who should produce much interest around his cricketing prowess - both with bat and ball - having captained KZN at school boy level. Other youngsters include Gouws Prinsloo and Paul Jordaan, while the bowling of Ryan Kankowski should be interesting, especially as his captain had a few things to say about his ability as a school boy at this week's media conference.

"We have done a lot of mental preparation - you have to visualise, that's the most important thing - so the guys are mentally ready," he adds. "We've tried to put in one or two sessions but that is quite difficult with the hectic schedule we have with the pre-season. Most of the boys can wield the willow and turn the ball over so it will be interesting to see how many injuries there will be trying to clean bowl someone or hit sixes."

He has confirmed that the whole squad will be at the game which gets under way at 12 noon with the gates opening at 10am. Those players not involved will interact with the cricket and rugby fans.

"It's a massive team effort."

The format of the game will have some tweaks here and there to ensure that no teams are disadvantaged.

General:

Regardless of toss, The Sharks to field first
Both teams will use 11 players to bat
The Sharks will field 15 players.

Bowling restrictions:

No Sunfoil Dolphin bowler may bowl more than 4 overs
No restriction on the number of overs bowled by The Sharks bowlers
No bouncers allowed
Wides and no balls strictly monitored and enforced for the Sunfoil Dolphins but some leniency given towards The Sharks.

Fielding restrictions:
